Citizens Advice Haringey are looking for Digital Advice Volunteers

Would you like to learn new skills whilst also supporting your local community? 

Citizens Advice Haringey are currently recruiting volunteers to join their new Digital Advice team. As the organisation responded to COVID-19 and begun planning for life post-pandemic it became clear that they need to be accessible to wider parts of the community and via different mediums, and part of that response is to develop a Digital Advice offer. 

CEO Daniel Blake said;

'People have said that they like having different ways of getting in touch with us. People like having options that give them the chance to access advice in ways that suit their lives, Many residents have told us that it is difficult getting to services that are 9-5 when they work and that being able to access us outside of those times has been a lifeline in the current climate. People have told us that they like not having to queue or arrive very early to venues to ensure that they are in the first 20 people. People like knowing that they will get a service when they contact us or any other agency.'

Successfully recruited volunteers will undergo training remotely and be offered the opportunity to provide advice from the comfort of their own homes or safe working spaces within the Citizens Advice Haringey offices, whilst receiving the same level of supervision and support that other volunteers and staff receive.
