St James’s Church Legal Advice Centre

We provide a free drop-in service between 10 and 12 on Monday at St James’s Church N10 3DB and on Tuesday at Wilton Community Church N10 1LT, between 2 and 4 on Wednesday at the Salvation Army Centre Wood Green N22 6JA and between 9.30 and 12 on Saturday at St James. Anyone who attends within those hours will be seen and have their problem addressed. We do not hold practising certificates so cannot do advocacy in court or work reserved to the legal profession, but will do anything within our competence to assist people in difficulty. Our main focus is on solving legal problems but we also provide general advice and assistance with debt management, issues with neighbours, unacceptable behaviour at work and so on. Our mission is to raise the burden of legal worry from those who are oppressed by it.
